IPA SEMIS

Ok because every interlg deserves some playoffs predictions. Even a 4 team interlg where everyone makes the playoffs. Winning the IPA championship hopefully still means something to someone so that we'll have some good matchups today.

#1 Pool Dragonz vs #4 Big Dogs

Well here we have the first semi-final where PDZ has had an impressive season that sees them matching up against the worst team in the competition Big Dogs. There isn't only a contrast in points in this matchup there's also a big difference in the amount of eligible players each league has. PDZ are a team full of season interlg vets including the MVP from the season Nish and probably their most two skilled players being Hani and Chris. PDZ will also have Drew, DJ, Tim and Trey at their disposal as well as a few more in case someone can't show up. On the other hand Big Dogs only managed to get 6 players eligible total for the entire season. Big dogs have no players on their team who are coming into the match with winning records other than those benefitted by credit wins so I'm not really sure how much point there is spending time digesting the finer points here. PDZ should win this one pretty early in 4 or 5 games at most.

PDZ wins 4-0

#2 Straightshots vs #3 Freedom

Well since I'm objective as hell I give myself opportunity to predict for my very own lg in this one instance only. Ok so both leagues had pretty even seasons finishing within just one win of each other. Last week the two teams played to a draw with a couple rosters that should look completely different for the playoffs rematch. Freedom are going to have a lot of good players to choose from and will probably have Trav, Andy, Petey, Hope, Matt all at table. All of these players play pretty strong games expecially Trav and Andy will be looking for key wins in this match. On the other side we have an SS side that managed to get a few players eligible in the final weeks to put up a fight here. The SS team was led by Safdar and Pita throughout most of the season and that combination will need to come up big here. 2 wins won't be enough however SS will need to look for some upsets from some of their roll players like Moon and Shelle. This should be tight as it always is between the two lgs. SS wins though... because I can't really pick against.

SS wins 4-3 TB

WSOP Finals

WSOP Finals

Straightshots (6-4) @ DeadStrokes (6-4)

Welcome to the moment of truth ladies and gentlemen. We have witnessed some great playoff matches already. Both DS and SS deserve much applause for getting to the finals. Congratulations to both leagues, their captains, and their players. Now, on to the nitty gritty. DS showed they were no joke when they defeated BNR 4-2, and SS proved they were going to be a tough final contender by handing LPL their first official lost when they had a full team. As DS enters the finals here, Chuck looks to bring a well balanced team that includes himself, Corey, Trey, Eddie, and Cameron. On the other side, SS looks to bring a confident group after beating LPL that consists of Pita, Jon, Nick, and company. This in my opinion, is almost an even match from top to bottom in players. However, I believe SS has a slight edge at the top over DS, and for this reason I think SS will be victorious.

4-2 SS ... Ben

Well Well Well. Two good leagues. Few good players on both sides. But Honestly after seeing S.S match with Lpl and I being the one to screw up my run, I would say S.S has a tough task against DS. S.S rely on Jon and Pita mostly. DS on the other hand have good quality players like Chuck, Trey, Cam. If S.S can get one more win besides Jon and Pita then I think Jon can win the decider to clinch for S.S.

4-3 SS Good Luck both teams... Safdar

Well here we have the 2 teams that knocked out the 2 first place runners of the season and congrats to both sides. Any team that could take out BNR and LPL deserve to be in this finals. Those were 2 tough teams to beat. Looking back at last weeks games. You had DS defeating BNR 4-2 and you had SS defeating LPL 4-3 in a game that came down to the decider where Jon defeated Ant to put SS into the finals. I see both sides bringing the same players to the first match of the finals. I mean you would be crazy to change the team players that did that work last week so I see the same team here in this match. DS have strong players in Chuck, Trey, Corey, Cam and even Roy can play the occasional good game lol. But you throw Eddie in there too and they're a pretty good team. SS have strong players also in Nick, Pita, Jon, Nhan David and cue.ballz. Very hard to call the winner of this game with 2 good sides playing, but I think Pita and Jon , and Cam and Trey will be the ones to look out for when opposing capts are calling here. I see it being a v ery close game this week between these two and I dont think will be a wipeout I see this game going 7 games and Ithink SS will clinch it again. And I see game 7 coming down to Jon vs Cam /Trey.

4-3 SS Good luck to both teams tonight. And may the best side win :)... Kerry

Well these two teams have done amazingly well to get to the finals of WSOP and DS deserve a big shout out and the 3 C's Cam, Chuck and Corey. SS had a great match also against a strong LPL team and yes they was fortunate that Saf messed up but they took there chance extremely well and have on paper a stronger team than DS. Players like Pita, Nick and jon are going to be important for SS tonight and they will no doubt come up against one of Chuck, Corey or Cam and that means they will need to give a strong showing. This match will go all the way and im gonna go for an SS win

4-3 SS gl all ...Jason

WSOP Semi-Finals (Reaction)

Well the semi-final round wrapped up last night completing 2 out of 2 upsets. Every single prediction had gone with the favourites so it's hard to say which was more unexpected. I might have to go with SS just considering the quality of the team LPL showed up with. LPL showed with one of their strongest teams of the season with Kevin, Ant, Tino, Luiz, Safdar and while SS was down 2-0, was looking grim. Safdar missed an easy finish to the 3rd game on his run attempt and Pita was able to clean up leading to 3 consecutive wins and eventually a win in the tiebreak.

Triple C got it done for DS which was pretty solid along with Trey after getting shout outs in my prediction. Another similar situation to the Thursday match DS was down 2-0 and came back to win the final 4 games against some good competition. Not sure if BNR had the best matchups there.. thought it could have been a little better, but I didn't really watch that match either so who knows what was up. Either way DS got it done and they have a pretty impressive lineup to bring into the WSOP finals.

WSOP Semi-Finals

So this started of as just one prediction but then it turned into a bunch of different predictions so if you want to read a bunch of predictions then read on.

WSOP East Semi-Final

DS (6-4) @ BNR (7-3)

This is a pretty good playoff matchup with lots of good players involved. The Eastern final also happens to be a re-match from just a week ago where BNR took a close match 4-3 in a tiebreaker. DS had no trouble in the previous round handling 8BC fairly easily with a 4-0 win. This isn't the same DS team that you see in other interlgs... its safe to say that WSOP is where they have the strongest team with the likes of Triple C (Cam, Corey and Chuck). BNR on the other hand finished just a game better in the regular season standings and their top players include Jordy, Chip, Chris and Joe. With the previous match involving DS vs 8BC, they needed all their top players to win and they'll need a repeat performance once again here to have a chance. The difference will come down to the players who round out each squad that aren't quite so well known for their pool skills. Who is goingto step up and get an unexpected win? Could it be Trey??!! Don has to be considered an x-factor for BNR... with him being there would definitely solidify BNR's squad and make them a clear favourite. I think DS should grab 2 wins here but BNR has more depth and should take this matchup.

4-2 BNR ... Jon

Well we are down to the Final Four folks. In the Eastern Division we have a hot and sexy upcoming BNR Team led by Chip who has a few good players at his arsenal. On the opposing side Ds, lead by Chuck has some solid players such as Cameron who had a well performed record of 7-2, along with Roy and Eddie who can hang with the big boys on most nights. However, I think the BNR Team will be locked and loaded with players including Chip who had a solid season with a 8-2 record, and Jordy who had a good season at 8-3. In addition, I believe BNR has a deeper team than DS with Chris, Steven, and Jim at their side. Overall, the BNR team should flex their muscles and should beat the DS team in a competitive and hard fought match.

4-2 BNR ... Ben

WSOP West Semi-Final

SS (6-4) @ LPL (9-1)

Thursday December 16th at 7pm (midnight UK Time)

Latino Pool Legends go into this Semi Final finishing top of the West Division with the best record in the whole of WSOP of 9-1. This is mostly thanks to Ant and AKA_Hero for there 8-0 seasons only to get edged out of MVP by PFN's Jamie. PFN didn't make the semi finals though and its Straight Shots who LPL come up against only because SS defeated a strong PFN side 4-1. Straight Shots didn't have any stand out players as far as records are concerned this season. Jon had a stand out season going 5-0 with a credit also. Nhan has come on as a player this season and then not to forget the really good players for Straight Shots in Nick, Pas and Tonz who will all be very important if they are to find a way past LPL.

The key for LPL is that they show with 6 for this Semi Final, Tino, Safdar, MVP Bleak and Hero all had undefeated seasons and if they show up then I think SS are going to struggle. SS got the WPC Championship and are doing well in UIC so they could pull off a shock here but I very much doubt it.

LPL takes it 4-2 with Ant clinching obviously

Good Luck to both teams ... Jason

Well..Well.. Well we have the Latino Pool Legends who could quite possibly be going into their last interlg match. On the other side we have Straight Shots who seem to have everybody and their momma in the lg. With SS they are low on eligible players for the playoffs, so you know about who is going to play in Jon, Nick, Pita, and Nhan. LPL has the ultimate pool player in Anthony who as long as he can avoid slow play, oh wait this isn’t Cpa. Lpl also seems to only have 8 players eligible, and will most likely bring the forces of Conor, Tino, Chex, Mattskie, and Ant to the table. On paper Lpl should take these easily 4-1 or 4-2, but we know that it never works out that way. Jonathan is the best player on SS, and if Pita/Nick don’t come on A form, then SS has no chance at taking this match. I don’t see the upset happening here, but I can see SS staying in it for more then four games.

4-2 LPL ... Trey

Here, We have two well known leagues that compete very hard, and are very successful in many other interleagues. LPL which is led by Tino has a loaded team, especially with Ant who went 8-0, and Kevin who also went 8-0 during the season. They also have Luis, and a few other great players that will put a lot of pressure on the SS team. This SS group who is captained by the magnificent Soubanh (Pita) Pongsak, will have their hands full as they are playing the favorites to win it all. Pita, Jon, and Nick will probably be counted on the most to win, but other players such as l3_lvl_x, and nhanxx will also be heavily relied upon if SS wants to make some noise and upset LPL, which I do not see happening.

4-2 LPL ... Ben
